Author Guidelines
1. Types of Manuscripts
The journal considers the following categories:
- Research Articles (6,000–8,000 words): Original scholarly research with a clear methodology and contribution to knowledge.
- Policy Analysis Articles (4,000–6,000 words): Applied analyses aimed at policymakers and practitioners.
- Review Articles (6,000–9,000 words): Critical and systematic reviews of the literature.
- Research Notes (3,000–4,000 words): Concise presentations of novel findings or datasets.
- Perspectives / Foresight Essays (3,000–5,000 words): Forward‑looking or conceptual contributions.
Word counts include references.
2. Language and Originality
- All submissions must be written in English and meet high academic language standards.
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy, clarity, and proper attribution of sources.
- All submissions are screened for plagiarism and text similarity.
3. Manuscript Structure
Research articles should generally follow this structure:
- Title
- Author names and institutional affiliations (submitted in a separate title page)
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (3–6)
- Introduction
- Literature Review and/or Theoretical Framework
- Methodology (where applicable)
- Analysis / Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements (if applicable)
- References
Policy and perspective articles may adopt a flexible structure while maintaining analytical rigor.
4. Formatting Requirements
- File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12‑point
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
- Page numbers: bottom‑center
- Tables and figures: embedded in text, numbered consecutively, with clear captions and sources
5. Referencing Style
Nuclear Watch Review uses the APA Style (7th Edition) for in‑text citations and reference lists.
Authors are responsible for ensuring consistency and completeness of all references.
6. Peer‑Review Process
- The journal operates a double‑blind peer‑review system.
- Manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial team for scope, quality, and compliance with guidelines.
- Suitable submissions are reviewed by at least two independent experts.
- Editorial decisions include: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
7. Research Ethics and Integrity
Authors must adhere to internationally recognized standards of research ethics. In particular:
- Proper acknowledgment of all sources is mandatory.
- Any conflict of interest (financial, institutional, or personal) must be disclosed.
- Research involving sensitive data, security issues, or classified materials must comply with applicable laws and ethical norms.
- The use of AI‑assisted tools must be transparently disclosed where relevant.
8. Copyright and Access
- Upon acceptance, authors grant the journal the right of first publication.
- Authors retain moral responsibility for the content of their work.
- The journal supports responsible knowledge dissemination and scholarly accessibility.
9. Submission Procedure
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
- A separate title page should include author details, corresponding author contact information, and acknowledgements.
- The main manuscript file must be anonymized for peer review.
